Look Good, Feel Better

A Makeover for the Spirit

Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite and strength. But it doesn’t have to take away her self-confidence. In partnership with American Cancer Society, volunteer beauty professionals teach simple techniques to women in active treatment to help them cope with skin and nail changes and hair loss. Workshop participants receive a free cosmetic kit, style tips and instruction booklet for patients in active chemotherapy treatment.

This class is open to anyone going through treatment or within a year of last treatment, regardless of where you receive care. Class participants need to register by phone prior to class.

Second Thursday of Every Month, 6–8 p.m.

Yoga for Cancer Patients

Practicing yoga while being treated for cancer can enhance physical and emotional wellness. Yoga can help manage physical pain and may help ease depression, fear and anxiety and increase endorphins. Attending a class specifically for cancer patients will also provide the community and support of people in similar situations.

Every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m.
